Studio Liverpool - Building

The Studio Liverpool

Following on from our recent accreditation as a Sony PlayStation First school, The Studio School are proud to have been selected to become involved in the Digital Schoolhouse program, and we are excited to bring our unique approach to digital learning to young people throughout Liverpool and the north west. We are ideally located in the Baltic Triangle area of Liverpool city centre and have built very strong links with the thriving tech and games industry around the city. Working in close collaboration with industry professionals is the fundamental ethos that our school was built on, and it is these relationships that have fostered our development of an engaging and inspiring curriculum. We are focussed and committed to helping students to build the skills and experience that will make them appealing applicants to the employers in this rapidly growing digital sector.

We are able to offer a blend of engaging, unplugged, and practical sessions to develop young people as creative and independent learners through the power of computational thinking. We specialise in game development and developing applications for the web through application of industry standard platforms. We can offer workshop sessions and practical support in a wide array of digital technologies including, but not limited to; C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, MSSQL, Python, Unity Game Development, Scratch, and App Inventor. At The Studio school, we take our role in supporting the local community seriously and becoming a Digital Schoolhouse will provide us with the opportunity to assist in developing digital skills throughout the north west region. Through this opportunity we are also able to offer expertise in GCSE & A-Level computing, AQA Technical Level IT: Programming, BTEC L2/3 in IT, Computing, Games Design, and Digital Publishing. Our affiliation with the Studio DEN project, funded by The Edge Foundation, could provide a unique opportunity for young people to work with industry professionals to have their projects published. If you are interested in the Studio DEN project you can find more information or register at:  www.studioden.uk
